This important issue has grown into an influential global community, effective altruism (EA). We are looking for effective research-based ways to address the most important problems of our time. Then we act on the results.
The idea has grown to include research sectors, start-up communities of charities and performance evaluators, career guidance organisations, local groups and conferences.

Effective Altruism Finland ry and local organisations
In EA organizations in Finland, we bring people together to learn and discuss effective altruism. Our goal is to raise awareness of effective altruism and support each other and others to do more good setting impact first. We help each other find effective ways to do good, for example through career choices, donations and volunteering.
Effective Altruism Finland ry is a Finland-wide organization. In addition, there are local organizations at Aalto University, the University of Helsinki and Tampere as well as starting out groups in Jyväskylä, Kuopio and Lahti. We also organize remote events.
